November Rain, Lagu Patah Hati Guns n Roses yang Kerap Viral di Bulan 11

SinPo.id - November Rain kembali menjadi trending lini media sosial. Lagu milik grup band rock legendaris Guns N Roses tak kunjung lekang meski telah berusia 31 tahun.

Netizen mengaitkan lagu ini dengan musim penghujan di Indonesia yang kerap dimulai bulan November. Namun lagu yang terdapat dalam album Use Your Illusion I memiliki makna yang sangat mendalam.

Lagu ballads itu mengisahkan tentang cinta yang tak terbalas. November Rain sendiri telah ditulis jauh sebelum diluncurkan pada September 1991.

Dalam wawancara dengan MTV, Tracii Guns mengatakan Axl Rose telah menulis lagu tersebut sejak masih bergabung dengan LA Guns. LA Guns merupakan band yang digawangi Axl sebelum Guns N Roses.

Menurut Tracii, November Rain merupakan proyek ambisius Axl. Axl yang mengidolakan Queen ingin menciptakan lagu yang memiliki daya magis layaknya Bohemian Rhapsody, yang ditulis Freddie Mercury.

Tak sia-sia, sambutan publik terhadap November Rain sangat positif. Guns N Roses menyabet sejumlah penghargaaan lewat album Use Your Illusion I.

Video klip November Rain juga termasuk memakan biaya termahal saat itu. Video klip yang dirilis pada Februari 1992 menyedot dana sekitar 1,5 juta dolar Amerika saat itu.

Hal tersebut wajar, mengingat segala kemegahan yang tersaji dalam video berdurasi nyaris 10 menit. Ratusan orang juga terlibat dalam pembuatan video klip tersebut.

Lagu yang dapat dikatakan evergreen ini juga menjadi klip pertama di YouTube yang berhasil menembus 1 miliar penonton, pada 2018 lalu.
